On the Road with the cast of When the Lights go on again!

What a whirlwind of a Saturday! If you spotted a rather smart wartime vehicle trundling through the streets this weekend, horn tooting and voices singing, you weren’t dreaming – it was us! The cast of our upcoming VE Day show "When the Lights go on again" (1st – 3rd May) hit the road for a one-of-a-kind publicity drive that brought a splash of 1940s charm to the town.

Decked out in vintage attire and bursting with energy, we travelled in style aboard an authentic World War II-era vehicle, turning heads and spreading the word about our show. With singalongs, waves, and a healthy dose of good old-fashioned spirit, we brought a taste of the Blitz-era to life right on your doorstep.

Our journey ended in true celebratory fashion at our wonderful sponsors, The Globe Inn, where we broke into song and dance, filling the streets with the sounds of swing, harmony, and pure joy. It was an afternoon of music, laughter, and community – a perfect preview of what’s to come in our VE Day show.

If you enjoyed the sneak peek, just wait until you see the full production! With classic tunes, lively performances, and a heartwarming celebration of unity and resilience, our show promises to be an unforgettable night out.

🎟 Don’t miss out – grab your tickets now for 1st–3rd May Let’s raise a glass, sing a song, and celebrate VE Day together, just like they did back in 1945. We’ll see you there!
